Why We Use It

We use to love the microfiber chenille mitts. They are acceptable, but have short comings. The biggest issue is that they are extremely low GSM. They have a lot of little attached ropes that have very short microfibers. The dirt builds up too easily into this short microfiber and is very easily rubbed back into the paint. This Wash pad has a ton of surface area in comparison and has VERY thick Microfiber. So the dirt can go deep into the pad and the surface of the pad will remain dirt free. This is crucial! If the dirt remains at the surface it will only have the soap as lubrication. If the dirt is deep in the pad, then the pad and soap are making contact with the paint and no dirt is actively being rubbed in.

LONGEVITY 

We recommend that you wash out your wash pad after every use. You can rub it into your grit guard and then ring it out. We place it on the car and then pressure wash the pad on both sides to rinse all dirt out and when it is still dirty after this process, it's time for a trip to the washing machine on the gentle cycle and then let it air dry. Your pad should last years if properly taken care of and you're not washing excessively. Having two pads is a good idea if you have 3 or more cars.

Microfiber Care Instructions

• Always wash new microfiber towels prior to first use.
• Wash only with other non-linting materials (NO Cotton!) to maintain proper dirt-gripping properties.
• Always wash newer black, orange, red, and other dark colored towels separately from lighter colored towels to mitigate the risk of dye bleeding.
• Machine wash with mild liquid detergent (free of dyes, fragrances, bleach and softeners.)
• Do NOT use chlorine bleach
• Do NOT use any fabric softener as this clogs the microfibers and reduces performance.
• Tumble dry using low heat.
• Do NOT iron.
