This is a 500 GSM towel, meaning its very soft, plush and gentle on surfaces. This makes it great to clean and wipe down delicate premium leather on your steering wheel and seats as well. Why We Use It
Any time you apply friction to a surface you introduce an elevated chance to scratch and damage that surface. High GSM towels are more gentle and especially safe on paint and leather. We recommend these towels for you because they will help mitigate accidental damage when applying too much pressure to clean something. When you increase pressure to remove a dirty spot you tend to apply a lot of pressure at your finger tips. This focused pressure will mar the paint and create deep swirl marks. A thicker towel displaces the pressure better and holds the dirt deeper inside the fibers, reducing the chance to have it rubbed into the paint like in a thinner towel.
PACKAGE
This size will maximize efficiency and gives you five towels. Don't be afraid to look at your towel after doing a few sections and say "that's too dirty to keep using" and just grab another and continue drying or applying reload or continue your waterless wash section with a clean towel. Changing out towels often is very important! I would consider buying two or three packs, meaning 10 to 15 towels, especially if you have a few cars in the garage and driveway. As time goes on you will probably revisit this page and pick up more because you will realize you can always have more towels especially if you're looking after several cars.
LONGEVITY
You will need to wash these towels more often than your drying and wash pads typically. They will hold up well for a very long time, as long as you ensure they get the gentle cycle on the washing machine and you don't over dry them. Your normal washing machine on the gentle cycle with very little detergent will get them clean. We recommend something like Tide free and clear. Basically the cheapest soap with no fabric softener included. Your towels should last years if properly taken care of and you're not washing excessively. Having two packs is a good idea if you have 3 or more cars.
