THE WHEEL HERO
We use to hate cleaning wheels and tires. It was the worst part of the wash process. Many years ago before Status Detail was created, we would do so little work on wheels! We knew there was a better way and after we geeked out on products we found some that we loved and our process changed. Wheels are now one of my favorite things to detail and this product is a huge part of why that's the case. This cleaner will loosen wheel dirt and clean your tires wildly fast and it is very inexpensive when compared to other kinds of detailing products!
Why We Use It
Brake Buster works on wheels extremely well. When sprayed onto the rubber it will turn brown right away. Loosening and dissolving dirt and oils from the tire and road, it will also dissolve dirt on rims. The amazing thing is that you can spray this on the tire and rim, let sit for a minute, then rinse with unbelievable results. A nice bonus is that it does not have a terrible smell like Iron X.
APPLICATION
Apply a generous amount to both wheel and tire. Let it dwell. You will notice it dissolving all the dirt. After a minute or so you can rinse the wheel with a pressure washer for a touch-less cleaning! On very dirty wheels and tires spray on but then agitate with brushes then rinse. If you notice contamination after that rinse, it's time for Iron X.
LONGEVITY
The size of your wheel and tire will change how long this product will last. If you have a Miata it will last awhile and if you have a Jeep it might go by faster. With normal use on most cars you will get 2-3 months of use before needing a reorder and thankfully the product is extremely cost effective for the time it saves. The bottle is small, so think about ordering more than one bottle at a time especially because your shipping will make more sense when you buy 2-3 bottles at once. You also won't need to order as often, thus saving you alot on shipping over the course of a year. You could also try Gyeon Tire Cleaner. It comes in a larger bottle and it works on both wheels and tires.
