Why We Use It
It is necessary to Clay Bar when the paint feels rough or gritty when you run your hand over it. Paint should be smooth! You Clay a car when it needs claying, so you should not use Clay if your paint feels perfectly smooth and otherwise appears to be in great shape. When you require Clay this is a great product to quickly remove contamination.
APPLICATION
Tear off a piece of the bar and work panel by panel. If you drop the piece you can toss it and tear off another section of the original bar. It is best to flatten the piece out and work slowly. I recommend you use car soap and water and wet the panel with that and then use the clay. "Clay lube" is not needed as it is literally soap and water and we all already have that.
LONGEVITY
This will be bought whenever you're in need of it. In that case you may use about half of the bar while doing your car and then have half left for whenever you need it or if you pick up some random contaminates that may require clay to remove. I recommend you store the left over clay in a zip lock bag and seal it with as little air as possible. It will stay good for several years in that state.
